Summary of Changes

Hello @Pr0methean, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request implements three code quality suggestions identified by AI findings, focusing on improving consistency and clarity within the src/write.rs file. The changes standardize how enum variants are referenced, ensuring a more uniform and idiomatic Rust codebase.

Highlights

  • Code Style Consistency: Standardized the use of Self:: prefix for enum variants within the Debug implementation of GenericZipWriter for improved clarity and adherence to Rust conventions.
  • Enum Variant Referencing: Updated the mem::replace call in finish_into_readable to explicitly use GenericZipWriter::Closed instead of an unqualified Closed.
  • Import Simplification: Modified the use statement for GenericZipWriter to import the enum directly, removing specific variant imports, which aligns with the new explicit referencing style.

This PR successfully applies code quality improvements by using explicit enum variant syntax (Self:: prefix) and removing unnecessary specific imports. The changes follow Rust best practices and improve code clarity without introducing any functional issues. All modifications are consistent and correctly implemented.

Code Review

This pull request applies several code quality improvements, such as using fully qualified enum variants for better clarity. The changes in the fmt implementation for GenericZipWriter are a good improvement.

However, the change to the use statement on line 193 is incomplete. It removes Closed and Storer variants from the scope, but not all of their usages in the file have been updated to use the fully qualified path (GenericZipWriter::...). This will cause a compilation failure. The critical comment addresses this issue with details and a suggestion to fix it.

Once that is addressed, the PR will be in good shape.
