Because of git operations touching the template repositories, parallel updates should not be permitted.
Same goes for executions, since that might involve running build tools, which touch local files.
Bonus: checking if the template repository actually needs a hard-reset, to avoid wiping untracked caches, gems, etc from the dirty tree.
