Thanks for assigning this issue to me. I'm starting to work on it and will keep this PR's description up to date as I form a plan and make progress.

Original issue description:

Goal: Implement a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server using the .NET SDK and Semantic Kernel.

Context: This project demonstrates multiple ways to create and deploy MCP servers. The .NET-based server should use Semantic Kernel, be spec-compliant, and include clear build and usage instructions.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • .NET MCP server implemented in dotnet-mcp/
  • README with setup, usage, and deployment instructions
  • Automated tests and/or evals for MCP endpoints
  • Passes Copilot Coding Agent CI setup

References:

Fixes #3.

💡 You can make Copilot smarter by setting up custom instructions, customizing its development environment and configuring Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Learn more Copilot coding agent tips in the docs.
