This is just a short collection of hints for using the iomega iconnect as a hexabus gateway.

Installation

Please make sure the installation image you use also provides the usb network stack. I was successful using the congenio installer. It takes a while to complete the installation, but you can always observe what's going on if you use a serial connection.

I connected an external usb harddisk to the iconnect and use it as a scratch space to do the compilation directly on the system. It takes a lot of time to compile a recent boost version.
