Das fastd-Repo ist nur noch über https erreichbar. Die Selbstunterschrift des zugehörigen GnuPG-Schlüssels war abgelaufen.
"sudo cat $dateiname" ist nur dann sinnvoll, wenn $dateiname nur mit höheren Rechten lesbar ist. Bei einem Kommando der Form "$foo >> $bar" hat sudo innerhalb von $foo keine Auswirkung auf die Schreiboperation nach $bar, da in diese Datei durch die lokale Shell geschrieben wird.
