FAIBCompiler comtains the functions to run VRI and PSP compilers. The compilers
- load data from FAIB oracle ground sample databases using package FAIBOracle,
- manipulate tree/stand-level tables, calculate tree/stand-level attributes such as basal area and volume using FAIBBase,
- save and archive them.
Cluster id changed from proj_id-samp_no-samp_type-visit to site_identifier-samp_type-visit, because EFR no longer uses proj_id and sample number as an unique spatial point. It uses site identifier now. The change was made on Nov. 24, 2020. The previous versions of VRICompiler and ISMCCompiler bave been freezed in VGISCompiler branch.
Since July of 2022, the PSP compiler and VRI compiler will be merged into one generic ISMCCompiler. The previous version, i.e., version 1.0000 has been freezed in oldISMCCompiler branch
This is a basic example which shows you how to solve a common problem:
## basic example code-
Specified age information availability based on an age measurement code.
PTH, must have either lab age or field age.
NOP, must have either lab age or field age, plus lab/field missing age.
WHO, must have field age.
OUT, must have lab/field age.
CRC and ROT, must have pro-length, pro-count and diameter. However, for historic PSP data, lab/field age provided.
PHY, must have phy_age.
EST, must have either lab or field age.’
-
Improvement on the best age for multiple age measurements with different measure codes. The order of age quality among different measurement codes is PTH>NOP>WHO>OUT>CRC>ROT>PHY>EST.
-
Include small tree summaries in the publish data.
Fixed site tree issues for historic PSPs
1). Missing age measurement code
If a site tree has either lab age or field age but no measurement code. The measurement code is assumed as "PTH"
2). CRC and ROT before 2020
Normally, the age for CRC and ROT should be pro-rated based on ring count, ring length and diameter. However, the historical PSPs missed one of these three items, preventing it from using the pro-rating method. For those trees, either lab or field age is available. Hence, in the compilation, the age is taken from either lab or field age.
