…search Research #7 (Crypto Payment Infrastructure Legal Analysis) conclusively establishes that a hosted payment platform constitutes money transmission. Phase 5 Bazaar is now strictly self-hosted, following the BTCPay Server legal model. Key architecture changes: - API keys → local L402 macaroons on merchant's own node - Hosted checkout → self-hosted checkout on merchant's domain - Settlement automation → one-command merchant deploy (5.8) (settlement is instant peer-to-peer, no automation needed) - Webhooks → local engine watching merchant's own LND/Cashu - Dashboard → self-hosted, no data leaves merchant infrastructure - SDK → connects to merchant's endpoint, not central server Updated: roadmap.md (full Phase 5 rewrite + architecture decisions table), roadmap page, whitepaper, README.
