OctopyID is a software development organization based in Indonesia.
At present, the organization is maintained by a single developer. However, it is structured and documented with the intention of long-term growth, scalability, and the possibility of evolving into a formal company in the future.
OctopyID serves as a central organization for developing, maintaining, and publishing software projects with a strong emphasis on:
- Code quality and maintainability
- Clear architecture and structure
- Practical, real-world solutions
- Long-term sustainability
While currently operated individually, all repositories are managed using standards that are suitable for team collaboration and organizational expansion.
Projects within this organization may include:
- Backend services and APIs
- Internal and public developer tools
- Frameworks, libraries, and reusable packages
- Infrastructure and DevOps configurations
- Research, prototypes, and technical explorations
Repositories may be categorized as:
- Stable: Suitable for production use
- Experimental: Used for research or early-stage development
- Work in Progress (WIP): Under active development
Technology choices vary by project, but commonly include:
- PHP: Laravel, RESTful APIs
- Node.js: JavaScript / TypeScript-based services
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js
- Docker, Docker Compose
- Linux (Debian-based systems)
- Pest, PHPUnit (PHP ecosystem)
- Jest, Vitest (Node.js / TypeScript ecosystem)
Across all repositories, the following principles are applied:
- Clean, readable, and consistent code
- Clear separation of concerns
- English naming for code and documentation
- Documentation that explains intent and design decisions
- Preference for maintainability over short-term convenience
At this stage, OctopyID primarily functions as an internal development organization.
External contributions may be considered on a case-by-case basis through:
- Issues and discussions
- Pull requests aligned with project goals and standards
Contribution guidelines may be formalized as the organization grows.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, projects under OctopyID are released under the MIT License.
