International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence

IOAI 2024 – Burgas, Bulgaria

The 1st International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2024) was held in Burgas, Bulgaria, from August 9–15, 2024.
Nearly 200 students in 41 teams from 32 countries and territories across 6 continents participated in this inaugural global AI Olympiad.

Competition Rounds

🔬 Scientific Round

• Take-home stage: One month of tasks in Machine Learning, NLP, and Computer Vision.
• On-site stage: 8-hour competition in Burgas on similar topics.

🎨 Practical (Team Challenge) Round

• Teams had 4 hours onsite to use AI image/video generation tools.
• Task: Design a music album cover and video for Maria Ilieva’s track "Love".
