- Reverted the 03f9893 commit since it was breaking the check-ga makefile target
- added check-ga step in github action (failures ignored for now, but log of failed tests are shown)
- added github action to remove github action caches

There are still a few issues on the check-ga github action step, but I am going to merge this pull request and fix remaining issues later |
