Versionpress changes post status to "private"

Hi all, I hope someone can help me.

It's a few days that Versionpress is changing the status of posts (ACF, articles, pages) from "publish" to "private", without any reason. This usually happens after a merge between two environment.
Here below a screenshot of my git repository, to show what actually happens:

I noticed this behaviour after installing WP Popups Lite plugin, could it be due to an incompatibility with this plugin?

Here below some technical details:
VersionPress version: 4.0-beta2
WordPress version: 5.3.2
PHP: 7.1.33
Git version: 2.12.2
