A few years ago I managed to get this gem officially implemented in the startup I work for, but it hasn't gone very well.

On a personal level, I would like to compensate you financially for your time.

While I appreciate the gesture I don’t need the money right now and my job provides all the time I need to maintain this project. Perhaps I should even acknowledge that somewhere.

If I ever add GitHub sponsors on this repository I would probably redistribute the money to the other Actor contributors (we’ve had some awesome contributions lately which I am very thankful for) or to associations and grants that help young people and minorities in tech.

For now I guess we can keep this discussion open if people have more thoughts on the subject.
