Does SQLPage support Markdown preview / rendering from stored data?

Hi SQLPage team.

I have a question regarding Markdown rendering / preview support in SQLPage.

Use case / context

• I’ve created a form inside a modal component using SQLPage.
• The form uses a rich text editor and the content is saved to the database.
• I want to add a View Report card/page that:
• Reads the stored content
• Renders it as Markdown in the UI
• Allows me to print or export the rendered Markdown as PDF / DOCX / HTML.

My questions

• Does SQLPage currently support Markdown preview / Markdown rendering out of the box?
• If not directly, is there a recommended component or pattern to:
• Convert stored Markdown text into rendered HTML in the UI?
• Is it feasible to use SQLPage-rendered content as a base for:

Printing

• Exporting to PDF or HTML?

I’m trying to understand whether this workflow is natively supported, partially supported, or would require external tooling or custom handling.
Any guidance, examples, or best practices would be really helpful.

Yes, you can use the text component with the contents_md property!

The most basic form is just

select 'text' as component, my_markdown_field as contents_md
from reports
where id = $id;

(if you have a reports table and are passing the report id as an url parameter)
