Issue with restoring purchase in Middletouch 1.8.5: banner reappears after sleep or reboot (macOS 15.2, MacBook M1)

Hello, I’ve encountered an issue with the Middletouch app version 1.8.5 on macOS 15.2 (device: MacBook M1). After the latest update, the app keeps prompting me to repurchase features that I have already paid for.

Details of the issue:
• Using the “Restore Purchases” feature makes the purchase banner disappear temporarily.
• However, the banner reappears every time the device is restarted or wakes up from sleep mode.
• I have already tried reinstalling the app, but this did not resolve the issue.

Could you please investigate this bug and suggest a solution?

Thanks for letting me know.

This seems like it would be the App Store not syncing the in-app purchase properly, because it's happening every time the app launches (which happens on wake). First, try launching the App Store and clicking on your account > Account Settings. For me, it forces me to sign into my account again, and it's possible that this will sync your purchase properly.

Beyond that, it might be worth trying to first delete the app, then reboot, then reinstall.

It appears I still have some rough edges to iron out, and am hoping to get an updated release out soon.

I've submitted a new version to the App Store that should fix this, and hopefully it will be through App Review and released soon.

In this version, restoring the purchase will re-sync the purchases with the App Store, so if you have to restore the purchase then it shouldn't make you restore again.
