Can't figure out how to work this

This probably has a very easy solution, I think I'm just being stupid. I'm on Linux Ubuntu.
I have installed the clicker and have opened it but I can't figure out how to start it. When I click start on the window it doesn't click and I can't figure out which hotkey I'm supposed to be using. It says the hotkey is F8 but I've tried F8 on it's own and combined with ctrl, left click, alt etc.

Is it a problem with my settings? Do I need to use a mouse for this to work?

Had the same issue, I eventually got it to work but couldn't pinpoint what key activated and deactivated it so i uninstalled it. Ever since then i've been having issues with my touch pad where it would just straight start autoclicking on its own every few minutes, despite the fact installed and uninstalled it via flatpak. I'm thinking of backing up my files and reinstalling

Distro: bazzite-gnome with window manager: mutter (wayland)
