Clarification on the requirement of Domain Controller (DC) for MS-MPI

Hello,

I am seeking clarification on whether MS-MPI requires a Domain Controller (DC) to function, or if it can operate on standalone workstations without a DC. The text on the main page mentions "Security based on Active Directory Domain Services," which is ambiguous as to whether Domain Services are required or simply supported.

Additionally, I could not find a clear statement in the documentation regarding this requirement.

Could you please provide more detail on whether a DC is mandatory for MS-MPI to work properly, or if it is just recommended for enhanced security?
