High CPU usage

Under macOS 26.1 (25B78), latest Chrome (Version 143.0.7499.170 (Official Build) (arm64)) and latest Safari the CPU usage (Google Chrome Helper and Safari Graphics and Media processes) is so high that an otherwise cold MacBook Pro gets warm quickly. The tab needs to be active for this to happen. If another tab is active (and the player tab is invisible) the CPU usage seems to be reasonable.

In Firefox task manager I see 11% when the tab is active and 6🤷7% when the tab is not active, so I didn't notice.

The 5% difference is probably from the radio glow.

I've retried Chrome with all extensions disabled and still get the same results: almost 90% CPU usage when the tab is selected and negligible (1.8 - 2.4 %) when a different tab is active.

With the radio glow element removed the CPU usage goes down somewhat, but activity monitor still shows it at 65%.
