allow targetting a specific sdk version when running dotnet format command

dotnet format failing on warnings ever since dotnet version 9 installed. 

  The dotnet runtime version is '9.0.8'.
  The dotnet CLI version is '8.0.413'.
  Using MSBuild.exe located in 'C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk\8.0.413\'.

Could you advise as pinning the version using an env variable as not working.
