Per Zendesk ticket #30349 the customer has requested we improve messaging/documentation around ALTER DATABASE … DROP REGION
We should surface an explicit estimate (or at least warnings) about:
- Temporary RF increases
- Expected extra disk usage
- Suggest to remove manual CONFIGURE ZONE state before region removal
We should also make it clear in docs that if your logical data is all in one region, you probably don’t want a region‑survival / RF=5 profile while decommissioning other regions.
