Is your feature request related to a problem?
As a user
I want to minimize the risk to break my backend
so that I can prevent downtime of the backend.
Provide a detailed description of the proposed feature
While technically we can improve the version compatibility endlessly, after a given time it doesn't make sense to spend the time as this is getting too complicated. As such we should warn when the CLI is used with a potentially incompatible new or old backend.
This warning should either have an interactive question or a long flag that must be explicitly given to accept the risk.
