In the UTIL subdirectory, the file run.sh file is described as an

"FAA database for N numbers."

I believe this is an error?

I think it is the code to run the TronView menu.

I think you are seeing the "last commit message". that run.sh was updated last when we added the FAA database support.

Ah, I assumed this represented a description. GitHub is truly foreign to me. Day 5 of attempting to install this. Dozens of failed attempts to follow these instructions or those on TronView.org, Vans Airforce, Flyonspeed and Oshkosh Powerpoint PDF.

I took a snapshot of the errors and that is attached. Some of the issues I have when I came get things running. Q will exit the program T will crash the program ? does nothing E Does nothing sudo python3 main.py - brings up a frozen image sudo python3 main.py --in1 stratux_wifi works sudo python3 main.py. works sudo python3 main.py -t. Works What is the command flag to use the bno085? I tried --in2 gyro_i2c_bno085 without success. Run.rc runs but I had to get it off github and put it in /TronView/ util. It was not installed anywhere. It does not tell me the version or date when it runs - no surprise. rc.local was also not on the microSD after install. Things are a mess because it simply does not install using any set of instructions to include .img files. Interestingly, the very first installation I did used the gyro on I² C when ran from run.sh. the only thing on the screen at that time was the artificial horizon with no data. What are you trying to using the bno085 for?

You can view the logs (via the menu or manually) to see what issues were happening if the app froze.

If you want to use the .img files then you will need to chat to @hpmicrowave . He's the one that created that. And it's several year old version of the code now.

There are also tests in the menu system to check for serial ports and i2c devices. Also tests for check the gyros.

I'm using the bno085 for the unit's gyro. (Pitch roll and yaw.) On my very first installation, all I had on the screen was an artificial horizon and the pitch roll and yaw on the bno085 worked fine. I moved the box and the horizon moved accordingly. No other data was on the screen. Run.sh (the menu) is not on the SD card when I install it. I manually place it on the file and it runs but does nothing. No I cannot check the I2c ports or serial ports. Maybe I am running it from the wrong directory? The point is: there is no checking the i2c ports if the TronView menu is not installed. I believe there is logs but I don't know where they are. I am trying to set up a discord account to ask questions one by one to make this less painful and to get answers to each of my questions like why doesn't the E button work? Next up, until you told me I don't see a way to know how old and image is in Google drive. Is there a way to update my files? Answer, yes if TronView menu works. Bob Roswick. If you have the old version of tronview using the preinstalled .img then that version does not have the run.sh menu system. And you won't be able to upgrade it to the menu system.

you will have to install the latest from the tronview.org site to get that working.

The BNO085 is good for simulation of yaw/pitch/roll on the ground. But will not work in a real plane. Just a heads up.

Do you have a efis in a plane that you can plug into tronview?
