Best way to hide "members"

Hello all!
To follow some "complaints" from some of my users (which are visible in the "add user" search box - and they don't want it) I'm looking for a way to:

• hide users from the searchbox (add single user)
• OR hide the "members" tab for rooms
• OR disable the "members" features of Pilos.

If I've missed anything in the documentation, please let me know. Otherwise, any ideas on how to do this are welcome…

Disableing the "members" feature would make other features useless as well, like "shared rooms" on the dashboard, transfer ownership in the room settings,
No easy fix I guess

An idea would be to add an additional user param the user can change in his profile that would hide him from the user seachboxes

You're right, my wish was not to definetely disable these features for everybody.
To be clear, my first point is to be able to hide all users who want to not be visible. My "user base" is from different organisations and companies and, by using this feature, they see names and email addresses of others.

Maybe a param (for profiles) would be better as an opt-in not an opt-out?
By default, users are not visible. But the user who want to be visible can do it…
Do you think I should write a feature request along these lines?

You can write a feature request for this. I would make the default configurable
