Hi!

I'm trying to fit a a linear model with ModelArray.lm and I get this error:

argument "..2" is missing, with no default

does anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Before that it seems like I have done everything correctly. Below is my formula and model fitting:

formula.lm <- fdc_smooth ~ no2_prenatal_2_3 + age + sex + adhd
mylm.try<- ModelArray.lm(formula.lm, modelarray_1_4y_no2_fdc, cohort, "fdc_smooth",
n_cores = 6, element.subset = 1:100)

Hi Paulina, I wonder if there's something going on with your cohort data frame. Can you confirm that the expected columns are all present?

Yes, I can confirm that all of the columns are presented.

I managed to run the function by temporarily modifying the lines in which the glue::glue calls were used, by removing the comma for example: message(glue::glue("looping across elements....", )), but still I am not sure if the results look as their suppose to look. Do you think this change could have a negative effect on my results?

My cohort dataframe looks like this:

I've ran into the exact same issue, using the example dataset and copying and pasting the steps provided in the walkthrough.

@plewandowska13 you're exactly right - the commas in the glue::glue calls are causing this error. They're only used to print info about the progress so your analysis results won't be affected.

If you're up for it, could you open a PR that adds your fix?

It was enough for me to set verbose = F for ModelArray.lm to run the code, so if the info is not important this is a good temporary solution imo.
