How do i check if the current note is a hold/sustain note?

I tried doing it with function onNoteHit() and the just checking if event.isSustainNote is true but it returns a null value.

event.note.isSustainNote, not event.isSustainNote. Events generally only affect the current state and do not contain information about the object they surround; instead, they typically provide a way to fetch the object manually, which is through the note property of the event in this case.
